Blackcurrant
Ribes nigra
Blackcurrants are woody shrubs, sometimes spiny, grown for their beautiful, succulent berries. Blackcurrants are winter hardy, even in Scotland, but cold weather at flowering time during the spring will reduce the size of the crop. The small, glossy black fruit develop in bunches along the stems in the summer and are easily picked. We have beautiful, healthy Blackcurrants for sale right now and if you plant them now you’ll have delicious fruit every summer. Choose from Ben Sarek, Ben Lomond, Baldwin, Big Ben ot Titania.
Available in several varieties in 11cm 3 litre and 4 litre pots.
